I haven’t made a Christmas wish list in many years. I don’t feel the need to since I am fortunate to have just about everything I want (and more). I have also stopped making New Year’s resolutions. Mainly because you reach a certain
maturity old age where you no longer want to set yourself up for failure! I eat what I want ~ I drink what I want ~ I am what I am. I can think of very little I want to change so no sense making resolutions I won’t keep.
As I enjoy my
second childhood old age, I do have some things I wish for at the start of this new year.
My first new year’s wishes are for my adult children. I hope and wish their lives are filled with love, laughter, contentment and satisfaction. I hope their year is filled with dreams that come true. I
hope know they will always remember how much I love them.
My wish for my Granddaughter is simple ~ always remember that although you came into our family at close to the age of 4 instead of at birth ~ you are as much a part of US as WE are! Always remember that we simply could not imagine our family without you! This Christmas you gave me the best present I could have received when you hugged my son and said “You’re the best Daddy ever!” (Please remember that when you are 16!)
My wish for my husband of
a million (35) years is continued happiness and better health. I also wish, hope, pray, beg that he continues to let me travel around the country doing what I do while he stays home and takes care of my dogs, my house and life in general. I wish I continue to be one of the luckiest old girls in the world!
I wish for all of my family and friends to have healthy and productive lives filled with love and security.
Happy New Year to All!
