There’s honestly so much yumminess to behold at Walt Disney World, it makes it hard to decide on what you want for dessert. What follows is a brief description of four popular choices.
Dole Whip
The much-loved Dole Whip dessert is a Disney tradition for thousands of visitors. Once you’ve had one, you’ll totally understand why! It’s so popular, in fact, Disney has merchandise available for guests who want to show the world just how much they love the frozen treat . . . like t-shirts and even air fresheners that smell just like a real Dole Whip.
The dairy-free dessert is quite simple in its design, which is just frozen pineapple flavored soft-serve, but like Disney’s classic Mickey Bars, the simplicity only adds to the charm.
You can pick one of these up in Adventureland or in the Polynesian Resort and Spa. Just keep in mind that it is one of Disney’s most popular treats and therefore the lines at the Dole Whip stands are typically long!
‘Ohana Bread Pudding
Located in the Polynesian Resort and favorited by many, ‘Ohana is a Disney restaurant that has perfected the age-old dessert known as bread pudding.
The dish starts with a basic sweet bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream. What elevates the dish from great to amazing is the special banana foster caramel sauce drizzled on top.
Perhaps best of all, ‘Ohana is an all-you-can-eat type of restaurant, which means you’re entitled to seconds (or even thirds) of this incredible dessert.
Napoleon
If you’re looking for a truly elegant, decadent and authentic French pastry, look no further than the Napoleon available at Les Halles Boulangerie & Patisserie located in Epcot.
While every dessert in the patisserie is a winner, their Napoleon is a true showstopper that delivers on everything you would expect of an authentic dessert from France.
Essentially, it’s a layered tower of whipped cream, custard and flaky pastry… a Disney treat you won’t soon forget!
LeFou’s Brew
Although LeFou’s Brew isn’t a dessert, per se, many Disney visitors feel it should be! Available at Gaston’s Tavern, it consists of frozen apple juice made with a slight hint of toasted marshmallow. It’s topped off with mango and passion fruit foam and is weirdly delicious.
These are just four of the scads of popular Walt Disney World desserts. You can honestly spend an entire day sampling different snacks and desserts. Which one do you want to try first?
