“Ah, Yeah! This is happenin’!” Sonic the Hedgehog will be speeding into theaters on Valentine’s Day, 2020!

Gotta. Go. Fast!

Sonic the Hedgehog has returned – redesigned and ready to roll! When the first Sonic the Hedgehog trailer hit earlier this year, there was enormous backlash against the design of Sonic – his eyes, his legs, and even his teeth. Paramount Pictures went back to the drawing board and Sonic’s new look and design now actually looks like the hedgehog we all know and love.

I’m a huge lover of every character Jim Carey portrays. He is so believable in each role he takes on and I’ve missed seeing him in so even though he’s a bit of a villain, I can’t wait to see the entire film.

The trailer definitely shows us that this is going to be the Sonic the Hedgehog we have known and loved for years. He’s a little bit cool and obnoxious, but still silly and cute.

Official Synopsis

Based on the global blockbuster videogame franchise from Sega, SONIC THE HEDGEHOG tells the story of the world’s speediest hedgehog as he embraces his new home on Earth. In this live-action adventure comedy, Sonic and his new best friend Tom (James Marsden) team up to defend the planet from the evil genius Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey) and his plans for world domination. The family-friendly film also stars Tika Sumpter and Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic.
