I must admit I am a foodie – I love food! Not for the food itself but because my daughter is a Chef. I am so proud of her and her food creations that I eat things that I most likely would never have tried before simply because she made it. She is sort of famous in our area – a young, female Executive Chef (now 27 she was running a restaurant before she was 25), well respected, on local TV and in magazines – sorry, I do love to brag a bit!
When I saw the first trailers for “The Hundred Foot Journey” I immediately knew it would be a movie I would love. A movie about restaurants and culinary rivals is something that hits close to home! Obviously, Food Network star Chef Bar Arneson feels the same way since The Hundred Foot Journey inspried her to create 6 absolutely delicious dishes after she saw the film. I can’t wait to try these recipes out (or should I say – have my daughter make them for me!). I hope you will enjoy trying these great recipes too!
In DreamWorks Pictures’ “The Hundred-Foot Journey,” the opening of a new Indian restaurant in the south of France next to a famous Michelin-starred eatery is nearly cause for a heated battle between the two establishments, until Le Saule Pleureur’s icy proprietress, Madame Mallory, recognizes her rival’s undeniable brilliance for preparing masterful meals.
