SOLO: A Star Wars Story ~ Trailer and Posters and My Thoughts

Sharing is caring!

Solo Star Wars Story Trailer

I have a confession to make. I didn’t watch the Super Bowl so I didn’t see the teaser trailer that was shown. I did catch this trailer this morning on Good Morning America and I’m excited to share it with you all!

I have another confession to make. I have never really been a huge Star Wars fan. I’ve watched the movies but never felt the over the top fan feeling that you see so many gushing all over social media about. After watching this trailer several times, I just may change my mind. This movie has a totally different feel to me. There’s something about seeing Han and Chewie together on a beach that pulls at your heart – silly – I know! There’s something about seeing a young Han Solo as a brash fly-boy who drops out of the fight academy to sign on with a rogue group. I’m beginning to really look forward to SOLO: A Star Wars Story.

‘I’m going to be a pilot; the best in the galaxy’

One of the big takeaways that I had from the trailer is that we’re looking at a new-looking Falcon, long before it was sort of turned into a “piece of junk”. This trailer also gives us a really good look at Beckett, played by Woody Harrelson, who tells Han that he’s assembling a crew and asks – “you in?” I’m a Woody Harrelson fan and he seems to really fit this part as mentor to Han.

This trailer gives us a chance to see quite a bit of the young Han as well as a glimpse at the newest cast of characters that will be joining him and Chewbacca. Although this trailer doesn’t do much in the way of revealing what the central or main plot will be, it gives you enough to make you eager to see the final product.
