Estimating Your Budget Goal
The Disney Vacation Account Budget Estimator provides planning links and an interactive calculator that will help you estimate the cost of your Disney vacation. Choose from the following Disney vacation types:
- Walt Disney World Resort in Florida
- Disneyland Resort in California
- Disney Cruise Line
- Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Hawai’i
- Adventures by Disney vacations
Depending on your vacation, you can include your accommodations, dining, theme park tickets, cruise fare, transportation, entertainment or more.The amounts you enter into the fields on the Account Budget Estimator page are approximate calculations and do not reflect what the actual cost of the items listed will be at the time of booking. Please remember that the price of items such as theme park tickets, accommodations, cruise fares and Adventures by Disney tours can change from time to time. Make sure to consider these things when estimating your budget. Additionally, the Account Budget Estimator does not calculate gratuity, sales tax and other additional miscellaneous costs.Your estimates and savings plan can be adjusted at any time.
Creating Your Account
There are no fees attached to creating this savings account. In order to create a Disney Vacation Account, you must be a resident of the 50 states, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico, and you must be at least the age of majority. The age of majority is 18 years old in these jurisdictions, with the following exceptions:Alabama and Nebraska: 19 years of age Mississippi and Puerto Rico 21 years of age. You can start your Disney Vacation Account with as little a $10 using a debit card, credit card or Disney Gift Card. Currently, we accept the following types of debit/credit cards:
- Disney Visa® Card
- Discover® Card
- American Express®
You may update or change most of the information you entered when you created your account, including your contribution information and your vacation goals, at any time. Please note that you may not change the name on your account by changing your name in your online profile. Even if you change your name in your online profile, the name on your account will not change.
Tracking Your Progress
You can track your savings progress online by visiting the Your Account page and using these 3 helpful sections:Manage Your Account: Find a quick “snapshot” of your account status and the information you’ll need to apply your savings toward payment of your vacation.Account Activity: View your Disney Vacation Account savings progress in graphic format. Green dots represent contributions to your Disney Vacation Account and pink dots represent purchases and refunds.Recent Transactions: View your most recent Disney Vacation Account activity. Transactions are listed from newest to oldest, with the date, description, amount and account balance specific to each transaction.
Booking Your Vacation
Your Disney Vacation Account savings may be applied toward the payment of your Disney vacation.At this time, you can use your Disney Vacation Account to pay for your vacation online or by calling (407) 939-7734. Please note that Adventures by Disney vacations can only be paid for by phone.You’ll also be eligible for a $20 Disney Gift Card for every $1,000 you spend on qualified vacation purchases with your Disney Vacation Account prior to December 31, 2015 (date subject to extension), up to a total $500 in Disney Gift Card(s) per household. Your Disney Vacation Account must be active for a minimum of 120 days at the time of spending in order to receive this bonus. Request your Disney Gift Card(s) 4-6 weeks in advance of your vacation date to allow time for delivery to your mailing address. See FAQs for complete details.After you’ve booked your vacation, you can put any remaining balance from your Disney Vacation Account on a Disney Gift Card (subject to a Disney Vacation Account lifetime maximum of $500) . You can use your Disney Gift Card to make purchases at select locations throughout the Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort, Disney Cruise Line and Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai’i. Your Disney Vacation Account must be active for a minimum of 120 days in order to place any account balance towards a Disney Gift Card. Request your Disney Gift Card(s) 4-6 weeks in advance of your vacation date to allow time for delivery to your mailing address. See FAQs for complete details.
Managing Your Account
You can manage your vacation savings by visiting the Your Account page. You can even update your account at any time—like changing your savings plan contribution amounts and frequency or stopping your contributions—at no cost.There are no fees to set up, maintain or manage your Disney Vacation Account, and all your unused funds are fully refundable.Do you want to change the amount you’re contributing to your savings plan? Simply click Edit Savings Plan.If you haven’t set up a savings plan but would like to, just click Create Savings Plan. You can even use multiple savings plans to save—just click Open Another Account on the Account Overview page.If you’d like to use a different debit/credit card to make contributions to your Disney Vacation Account, just click Edit Contribution Method. You can also update your personal information, such as your home mailing address or billing address, by clicking Edit Profile.If at any time you’d like to stop contributing to your account, click Stop Automatic Contributions. A maximum of $25,000 may be saved per Disney Vacation Account.
