New Resident Band
Drops of Green is the newest resident band at Raglan Road joining The Brayzen Heads, The Raglan Rebels and The West Coast Trio. The lads from Laois and Kilkenny in Ireland were a huge hit at the Hooley. Together they bring their unique take on Irish music and a fresh style to some of Ireland’s oldest ballads. They are also known for their rich heritage of storytelling, haunting harmonies and highly skilled musicianship. The band includes Lee Campion, Vocals, Guitar, 5 String Banjo, Accordion and Percussion.Ross Hennessy, Vocals, Mandolin and Whistles. Barry Kavanagh, Vocals, Banjo, Whistles and Bodhran. Signature Dinner & Wine Event to Celebrate Epcot Food and Wine Festival
To celebrate the Epcot Food & Wine Festival Master Chef Kevin Dundon will host a special Signature Dinner & Wine Event on Oct 2nd at Raglan Road. Chef Kevin will prepare an exclusive 5 course meal made from the finest seasonal ingredients and paired with carefully selected wines. The theme of this year’s event is “A Celtic Food Journey”, a fine dining experience that features dishes such as lightly spiced duck breast, duck leg confit & duck heart with a chili & mango salsa, Hot smoked salmon on beetroot & celeriac salad with a caraway dressing, Cotoletta alla milinease, potato wrapped kidney, stuffed marrow bone with marrow custard foam. For dessert Kevin will prepare a delicious Grappa panna cotta with macerated blackberries and a pink peppercorn tuile. Now in its 19th year, the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival will take place Sept. 19 – Nov. 10 in Epcot, Walt Disney World. The Food & Wine Festival is an autumn special event that transforms Epcot into a food and wine lovers paradise. This year features more than 25 regional and specialized Marketplace tasting booths, culinary and beverage demonstrations, sophisticated parties and live musical entertainment. The festival is believed to be the largest food and wine event of its kind in the world and runs for a record setting 53 days.
One of the highlights of the Epcot Food & Wine Festival is the Party for the Senses, the Saturday evening extravaganza. The World Show Place Events Pavilion becomes the setting for a sensational evening where you can experience international cuisine & beverages from over 50 stations and enjoy musical performances from Cirque du Soleil. Aspiring chefs and budding food enthusiasts are invited to attend cooking demos from some of the worlds most celebrated chefs including Raglan Roads Master Chef Kevin Dundon. Kevin will be cooking up some mouth-watering dishes demonstrating each recipe step by step. He will also be sharing cooking tips and techniques. Everyone attending the event is welcome to sample each of the dishes prepared by Kevin. Afterwards Kevin will be available for a meet and greet.
All demos will take place in the Festival Welcome Center, located in Future World, Epcot. You can see Kevin on Tues, Sep 30 & Wed Oct 1 and places can be booked through Disney Reservations
