OK – here’s the latest out of Walt Disney World – Starting on March 15th to last for an unspecified time (reportedly just a few days), guests parking at the Magic Kingdom or Epcot will have the option to pay for a premium parking space. The “premium” space will be closer to the park entrance – or in the case of the Magic Kingdom, closer to the monorail or ferryboat.
The charge for this premium parking experience will be $15 above the regular $20 parking fee. $35 for a closer parking space! I would personally rather just take the tram from the back of the lot!
There has been no information regarding what the charge will be for resort guests or annual passholders. We can assume they will pay just the $15 since they receive free regular parking.
