Potsdam remains one of the most popular tourist destinations in Germany and its proximity to Berlin makes it an ideal location to stay when visiting the German capital. Here’s all that you need to know how to find the best hotel when visiting Potsdam.

Book Online

Booking.com is the world’s biggest and most popular website for booking hotels at almost every location on the planet. With over 1.6 million hotels available in more than 1.2 million destinations, Booking.com is one of the easiest and fastest ways for you to book a hotel no matter where you’re traveling to.

Finding the right hotel is straightforward: all that you need to do is enter your destination, the check-in dates and additional information, such as the number of people you’re making the reservation for, and the site will generate hundreds of hotels at affordable prices.

Search Online

Websites such as TripAdvisor and Trivago are excellent online resources for finding the best hotels around the world. The sites are simple to use. The major advantage of online research is that you won’t have to spend much of your time locating hotels and making reservations.

Tip: Always check the hotel reviews before making a reservation. Good reviews aren’t always a guarantee that you’ll receive quality service, but in most cases, they are a good indicator of what to expect after you check in.

Keep Close to the City Center

Some of Potsdam’s best hotels are located close to the city’s historic Old Town, with its many landmarks that you will want to visit.

For enjoying places such as Sanssouci Park, Sanssouci Palace or Old Town Hall, it’s best to find a hotel located close to the city center. It is ideal for people who enjoy walking, as you can spend your leisure time exploring Potsdam’s parks and squares.

Don’t be Afraid to Explore

Whether you’re visiting Potsdam as a tourist or you’re going on a business trip, you shouldn’t be afraid to explore and discover new locations.

A four-star hotel located just 1.6 kilometers from the city center, Inselhotel is a Luxury Island Hotel in Potsdam, with its own wellness facility and an outdoor pool can be an ideal place to relax in the picturesque countryside.

Ask for Recommendations

Sometimes it happens that you don’t have the time to search for hotels online and in such cases, you can rely on recommendations from your friends, family or locals. Prior to asking for recommendations, you should provide basic information about the price you’ll be willing to pay, location and the service you expect to receive at the hotel.

Tip: A travel consultant may be able to help you find the best hotel and make out the most of your vacation.
