Regular visitors to Walt Disney World Resort know the little trick of shipping packages to yourself to arrive at your resort in time for your vacation. Many people ship items to themselves in order to save space in their luggage. Extra diapers, for example, take up lots of packing space and definitely won’t be going home with you so why not ship them to yourself and have them delivered to your room when you arrive. Not only does this help with luggage space but it also cuts down on costs for some things during their vacation.
Now that it seems so many have been using this little trick, Disney has started charging a $5.00 handling fee for each package received through the Front Desk or delivered to your hotel room. So don’t be surprised to find the extra charge on your statement when you are checking out.
Will this make a difference for you?
If you do receive packages during your stay, be sure the package:
- Includes the mailing address of your Disney Resort Hotel
- Clearly features the word “Guest” on the front and the date of your arrival
