Being a fan of The Jungle Book since 1967 had me really waiting in anticipation for this release on April 15. THEN ….. I received an invitation from Walt Disney Studios to come to Los Angeles from Sunday, April 3rd – Tuesday, April 5th to walk the red carpet at THE JUNGLE BOOK premiere and to also interview Director Jon Favreau and Neel Sethi who plays “Mowgli” at the press junket! THEN ….. they added interviews with Lupita Nyong’o (voice of “Raksha”), Sir Ben Kingsley (voice of “Bagheera”) and Giancarlo Esposito (voice of “Akela”)! THEN ….. they added that we will join Disney XD for a special screening of the hilarious new hidden camera-practical joke series “Walk the Prank.” Featuring live-action scripted comedy interspersed with fully produced unscripted pranks, the show follows an ensemble cast as they plan and execute hilarious over-the-top pranks for an online hidden camera show. After the screening, we will be transported to Paramount Studios where we will view production for an upcoming episode and interview members of the “Walk the Prank” cast. “Walk the Prank” premieres 4/6 at 8:30 pm on Disney XD.
I was more and more overwhelmed with each addition. And THEN ….. I received my itinerary and sandwiched right in-between the RED CARPET and going back to the hotel – there was this one line: Premiere party for THE JUNGLE BOOK at the OHM Nightclub in Hollywood! WOOT! As if I wasn’t already over the moon, over the top, almost out of control excited that Disney included me in this event! The best part of it all is The Jungle Book because I have the best memories of the movie and the songs from my childhood and I have been really looking forward to this version that is full of new technology and new voices.
