A lot of people ask me whether it’s worth going to a hard ticket event at Walt Disney World like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party without kids. You betcha! I was able to go twice this year and both times it was adults only. The best part is you get to act and feel like a kid!
I wasn’t expecting much when The DisBroads asked if everyone wanted to go during the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend. I thought, sure, another cool Disney party. I had such a great time, though, that I was thrilled when we went again during Disney Parks Moms Panel Training!
Here’s what I LOVED!
The Fireworks! Wowza! I love Wishes..Hallowishes.. and now Iove Holiday Wishes! Watching the fireworks with Cinderella’s Castle gleaming in icicle lights as a backdrop makes me ooh and aah….and cry.
Toy Soldiers in Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade The rest of the parade is lovely, too. However, it’s the Toy Soldiers that really capture my attention and make me tune everything else out. I feel like a 5-year-old again.
Snow on Main Street Did I mention the amazing fireworks? Now add in snow on Main Street. It truly feels like it’s snowing. I even stuck my tongue out to try to catch some snowflakes. It may or may not have tasted like soap.
DJ Cane and Club Tinsel If you know anything about me, you know I love to dance. I have no talent, but there is something about music that speaks to my soul. I just start moving to the music. Club Tinsel at Cosmic Rays is the most happening place at Walt Disney World. And DJ Cane is phenomenal! Not only does he play awesome songs, but he’s got moves like Jagger. If you do happen to bring your children, they can dance with some characters while you shake your groove thang.
Free Hot Chocolate and Cookies Free, you say? Ok, ok, so you paid for your admission ticket. But if you find a location with a lighted candy cane, then grab your complimentary hot chocolate and Snickerdoodles. That’s not your thing? Well you can also choose apple slices and apple juice. When the temperature drops, that hot cocoa warms you right up. Did you hear me? Complimentary.
Jingle Cruise The Jungle Cruise has been transformed into the exotic Jingle Cruise. With added holiday decorations and ho-ho-larious jokes, this one is a real crowd pleaser.
I cannot wait to take my family next year! I was skipping down Main Street, riding all my favorite rides, and soaking in all the holiday goodness. If you are still on the fence about this party, let me leave with you a picture of Cinderella’s Castle. It always takes my breath away.
