I’m so excited to share with you the teaser trailer and poster for Tim Burton’s all-new live-action DUMBO that opens in theaters everywhere March 29th, 2019! After the success of Cinderella, Maleficent, Jungle Book, and Beauty and the Beast, Disney is full steam ahead on live-action remakes based on its beloved animated features and I can’t wait for this one!
Disney has released the first teaser trailer for Dumbo, Tim Burton’s lavish live-action version of the beloved Oscar winning 1941 animated classic. From Disney and visionary director Tim Burton, the all-new grand live-action adventure DUMBO expands on the beloved classic story where differences are celebrated, family is cherished and dreams take flight.
The film stars Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Michael Keaton, plus newcomers Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker (daughter of Thandie Newton and the director Ol Parker).
Here’s the official plot summary:
Disney’s new live-action feature film “Dumbo” introduces Holt Farrier (Farrell), a former circus star who finds his life turned upside down when he returns from the war. Circus owner Max Medici (DeVito) enlists Holt to care for a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him a laughingstock in an already struggling circus. But when Holt’s children (Parker and Hobbins) discover that Dumbo can fly, persuasive entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Keaton) and an aerial artist named Colette Marchant (Green) swoop in to make the peculiar pachyderm a star.

Walt Disney’s classic animated tale “Dumbo,” which opened Oct. 23, 1941, won an Oscar® for best scoring of a musical picture and was nominated for best original song for “Baby Mine.” The live-action re-imagining of “Dumbo” utilizes state-of-the-art visual effects to portray Dumbo and many of his four-legged counterparts.
