My daughter has multiple, severe life threatening food allergies and Walt Disney World® has long been a safe haven when it comes to dining and snacking because of the care they take when it comes to guests with allergies. Even though Disney has been outstanding in this area for a long time, over the last few years they have stepped up their game when it comes to guests with allergies, even going so far has to install EpiPens throughout the parks.
Now, Disney has done it again by partnering with WOW Baking Company and Enjoy Life Foods – two of the best companies that produce allergy friendly snacks. One of the problems I often experienced when my daughter was young was being at Walt Disney World and she often felt “left out” because of the other kids eating Mickey or Minnie shaped snacks or snacks in Mickey packages- something she couldn’t do because of her allergies. Problem solved! Kudos to Disney, WOW and Enjoy life for now producing snacks, available in the parks – Snacks with Character!
The cookies from the WOW Baking Company are all certified gluten free and are made in a dedicated gluten free facility. They offer chocolate chip and lemon burst cookies.
The Enjoy Life Snacks with Character include Ricemilk Choco Bars and Dark Chocolate Bars and both are free of the top 8 major food allergens, certified gluten free and non-GMO; Chocolate Sunseed Bars and Mountain Mambo Seed & Fruit Mix with sunflower kernels, pumpkin seeds, raisins, apples, chocolate chips, and cranberries.
