Walt Disney World® is such a wonderful, exciting place to visit at Christmas time. My favorite resort to visit is the Grand Floridian Resort. Let me explain why it is so grand.
As soon as you walk in the door you feel a special spirit of Christmas joy, then you can smell the gingerbread, hear the orchestra, and see the spectacular decorations. Of course I have to get a treat at the, “Gingerbread House” which is made out of real gingerbread. It is so large there is a store in it!
I like to get my treat and sit down in one of the many chairs or couches and just enjoy myself. Being here I can feel a spirit of special joy and peace all around me. It is just like having the best kind of warmth inside with an overjoyed feeling. I could sit in a spot for hours and it would seem like minutes taking everything in, it is so mesmerizing!
There have been many rumors about the parking at Disney’s monorail resorts. The best way to see the decorations is to ride the monorail from Magic Kingdom® to the resort to see the decorations. All of the resorts are decorated but this has the most spellbinding Christmas decorations of all the Disney resorts in my opinion.
There is also a very large tree inside the lobby near the Gingerbread Store. If you have purchased, “Disney’s Memory Maker” there is a Photo Pass Photographer there to take pictures in front of the tree. You can also take your own pictures. The tree is so large & decorated with different types of ornaments; I just look and dream to have a tree like that at home.
The Grand Floridian Resort is the place to see at Christmas. I hope you are able to see it for yourself and not miss it. I hope you are able to feel the miraculous, joyful spirit that has been decorated by a special “Disney Mouse“.
