Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa – Palm Coast, FL

Hammock Beach Resort

Most people think of theme parks when they think of a Florida vacation, but there is so much more to visiting Florida!

Looking for oceanfront luxury? Well here it is! I travel often. I visit many different resorts around the country. I have never stayed at a more stunning resort, in a more stunning location with the best staff and amenities around. The Palm Coast FL area couldn’t offer a better beach getaway!

This post is in partnership with Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa as part of the We Grow Retreat. All opinions are my own.

Hammock Beach Resort

Of course, travel is a bit different these days due to the pandemic. Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa is doing an outstanding job with sanitation and social distancing all over the property. It’s made easy for guests while outside since the beautiful grounds are so spread out.

Hammock Beach Resort is situated on over two miles of pristine beach. The resort offers exceptional amenities, such suites and facilities, 36 holes of Signature Golf, a spa, tennis, marine activities, multi-level water park including a three-story slide and lazy river, fire pits and activity lawns.

Where is Hammock Beach Resort

Hammock Beach is located eighty minutes away from Orlando, twenty minutes from St. Augustine, thirty minutes from Daytona and an hour away from Jacksonville.

About Hammock Beach Resort

The resort features 330 luxury accommodations that range from ocean view studios to multi-bedroom condominiums that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. Because of the size of the property, guests are offered many amenities and areas to relax without ever feeling the resort is crowded.

The Lodge

Hammock Beach Golf Resort and Spa is so much more than a hotel. Hammock Beach Resort is designed for gatherings of friends and families, with traditional rooms in the Lodge, as well as villas and suites ranging from 700 to 2,350 square feet. The multi-bedroom villas and suites allow you to experience resort living while still enjoying the comforts of home.

The Hammock Beach Resort has several different options in different buildings, including Main Tower Suites, Ocean Tower Suites, the Lodge (pet friendly for a fee), Villas, and vacation rentals. The units are tastefully and traditionally decorated. Because the condos are individually owned, the decor varies greatly between units.

All rooms and units are equipped with modern amenities, including mini-fridges, TVs, coffeemakers, and Wi-Fi, as well as private balconies with beautiful views overlooking the grounds and ocean.

Suites/condos are spacious and suitable for families, especially the three- and four-bedroom suites that have fully equipped kitchens, as well as living and dining areas. Suites in the Ocean Towers and villas even have laundry rooms with washers and dryers.

Hammock Beach Resort Amenities

The resort offers two championship golf courses, multiple outdoor pools, lazy river, indoor pool complex, the private beach, a beautiful and serene spa, a large fitness center, several restaurants, tennis, bike riding, a putting course and a great location with easy access to attractions and things to see and do close by.

The outdoor water park offers a waterslide and lazy river as well as an “adults only” pool.

The Spa

With over 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, The Spa at Hammock Beach can provide everything you need to refresh and renew!

Massages, mani/pedi, facials – you name it – you can get it at the Spa! The Spa is absolutely gorgeous. The staff is the best. I left after my massage feeling like it was definitely the best massage I have ever had.

Eating at Hammock Beach Resort

Dining options vary. Delfino’s serves Italian cuisine with an emphasis on seafood, the Atlantic Grill specializes in seafood and has great ocean views.

There is also a Sushi Bar, Ocean Bar and Café, and lobby bar. Loggerheads Lounge (currently closed) is an elegant dark-wooded space that also houses a cigar bar.

There is a free coffee bar located in the lobby that is only open in the mornings.

The food at the pool bar/cafe is delicious. Large portions and great service make the pool the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch.

This resort had all the amenities needed, which are all inclusive in the resort fee.

Over-All

The lobby is beautifully decorated, comfortable and inviting.

Our group of six was divided between two – three bedroom condo units. Since each unit is individually owned, the decor was totally different in each unit. There are also four bedroom units available. These larger units allow for a great way for larger families to enjoy a vacation without the need for multiple hotel rooms and giving your family the space they need to unwind and enjoy the beach!

Underlying basics were the same. The units were the same size (HUGE! Approximately 2,500 sf). Three bedrooms each with their own bathroom. Identical, fully upgraded kitchens, laundry room, open-air covered balcony with table and chairs and stunning views.

The three bedroom units are spacious and allow more than enough room for socializing.

The master bedroom in each unit included a larger bathroom than the other two bedrooms with walk-in shower, garden tub and two vanities.

The units make it easy to relax and enjoy family time without being crowded together in one or two small hotel rooms. The outdoor balconies are the perfect spot for your morning coffee.

The tower buildings offer easy access to everything on property. Although Hammock Beach is a large resort it’s surprisingly easy to walk to whatever you want to do.

Things to do in the area

If you run out of things to do at the resort, there are plenty of options in the area for you to enjoy.

In nearby St. Augustine, you will find all sorts of things to see and do. St. Augustine is the country’s oldest city and is full of museums. An amazing historic district offers food, architecture and shopping.

Ghost tours, horse drawn carriage rides, even segway tours on the beach and more are available!

St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park – who doesn’t love a good alligator farm?

After more than a century, the Alligator Farm thrills and educates guests on a daily basis. The St. Augustine Alligator Farm is now the only facility in the world exhibiting living specimens of all 24 currently recognized species of crocodilian. They also host a wide range of other animals, as well as birds, reptiles, fossils, and more!

Marineland is a spot that everyone should visit. It was definitely a highlight of our visit to the area. Marineland offers a wide range of programs for the entire family.

The facility offers three different options for swimming with the dolphins:

Royal Swim

Swim Adventure

Dolphin Encounter

Our group participated in the Royal Swim program and OMG! The program was one of the best experiences many of us have ever had. The Royal Swim is the most fun and unique program, designed to exceed all expectations. Feel the thrill of the foot push, where the dolphins will rise you above the water by pushing you from the soles of your feet!

If you are looking for a great beach vacation or getaway in Florida, Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa should definitely be on the top of your list.

It’s a perfect spot for a family vacation, girl’s getaway weekend or a romantic trip away from the kids!
