Lincoln is the capital city of Nebraska. The city covers 96.194 square miles. The city was founded in 1856 as the village of Lancaster on the wild salt marshes of what was to become Lancaster County. Renamed after President Abraham Lincoln, it became Nebraska’s state capital in 1869.

Lincoln Nebraska is a city where people love to be. It has great weather, amazing architecture, and a lot of national parks. Lincoln has seen a lot of growth in recent years. It is now considered to be one of the most livable cities in the US.

Lincoln is home to a lot of things, but if you’re looking for a vacation spot, Pawnee Lake might be your best bet.

Pawnee Lake is a beautiful lake nestled in the heart of Lincoln, Nebraska. It’s accessible from the western part of the city and from miles around. There are numerous activities available at Pawnee Lake – from boating to water skiing and tubing.

In addition to all these activities, visitors can enjoy a variety of restaurants and souvenir shops nearby.

James Arthur Vineyards

James Arthur Vineyards is a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard in Lincoln, Nebraska. It is one of the oldest wineries in the state and prides itself on being one of the most unique.

The James Arthur Vineyards Winery is nestled in a valley overlooking the Missouri River with rolling hills that give way to an expansive view of the surrounding landscape. The grounds include a bricked courtyard, fountain, and walking paths lined with roses and grape vines. There are also two wine tasting rooms – one inside and one outside – for visitors to try out their own wines or choose from their extensive list.

Roca Berry Farms

There are so many things to do for those visiting Lincoln Nebraska. One of the highlights is the Roca Berry Farms in Lincoln, Nebraska. The farm is a big hit with kids and will keep you busy for hours, all while enjoying a delicious meal.

This is a nice place to visit for those who want something different from the typical attractions in Lincoln. There are also a few animals that you can see here, including cows and horses. It’s a fun place for the whole family to visit and enjoy some fresh fruit!

International Quilt Museum

Since its opening in 1961, Lincoln’s International Quilt Museum has been a destination for quilters and art lovers. An international community of people come to the museum to explore their roots and share their traditions.

The Museum has an extensive collection of over 2 million pieces of quilt art from around the world. They include quilt tops, blocks, and fabric from Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, and Canada. The Museum also hosts exhibitions of various artists who specialize in textiles and they also offer workshops in the art of machine embroidery.

Lincoln is known as “Quilt City” and it is easy to see why after visiting the International Quilt Museum.

If you decide to visit Lincoln, do the classics — take a tour of the Nebraska State Capitol, a lively night out in the Historic Haymarket District. See a Broadway show or headlining musicians at the Lied Center for Performing Arts or Pinnacle Bank Arena. Do the family thing at Lincoln Children’s Museum or the Lincoln Children’s Zoo. Then make time for some surprises: discover the botanic garden and museums on the University of Nebraska campus. Taste around town to determine your favorite local breweries, wineries and restaurants. Find bison and a prairie ecosystem at Pioneers Park Nature Center.
