Food Truck Festival Myrtle BeachOfficials with the Myrtle Beach Downtown Redevelopment Corporation and the City of Myrtle Beach have announced a food truck festival that will be coming this April.

I have to admit, I love a meal from a food truck! For some reason a good food truck offers something that tastes so much better. Most food trucks have a theme or offer one specialty, so getting the chance to move from truck to truck during this festival is a food truck lovers heaven!

In a recent news release, officials said they were excited to bring a festival aimed to “tempt everyone’s taste buds” to the area.

“Food trucks are the latest culinary craze and growing in popularity, so add that to the beautiful backdrop of our Boardwalk, and we feel this is a recipe for success that everyone downtown can benefit from,” said Lauren Clever with the Myrtle Beach Downtown Redevelopment Corporation.

Officials said the event will also feature live entertainment, beer and wine, kid’s activities, and vendors ranging from arts and crafts to businesses and non-profits. Non-mobile restaurant vendors will also be on site.

The event is scheduled for Saturday, April 1 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will take place on the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place between 8th and 9th Avenues North in the Oceanfront Boardwalk District of Myrtle Beach.

The event will be free to attend.

In October, the Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival will return for a second year and will be 2 days this year. The second day will include a car show, live music entertainment and kid friendly activities. This festival will also be free to attend.
