Some of the best places to dine on Walt Disney World Resort property are the restaurants in Epcot. Along with great food, you will also be getting a truly authentic cultural experience in the country pavilion you are dining at. My family loves each of these five spots and looks forward to dining at each location.
#1 – Teppan Edo
Great Japanese hibachi ~ lots of fun ~ and something for each family member to eat. Your are seated around a classic hibachi grill table (that seats eight) and a Japanese chef will WOW you and your family with showmanship while working with knives and food. The chef may even make a hidden Mickey out of a stack of onions or a fiery volcano. You can choose from seafood, chicken, beef, vegetables, and rice. Served fresh from the grill to your plate, steaming hot. What I like most about Teppan Edo is the value for your money. The portions are huge! This is one table service entitlement if you are on the Disney Dining Plan.
#2 – La Hacienda de San Angel
Location, Location, Location ~ right along the water’s edge which makes for a great location to experience Illuminations, so take that into consideration when making your advanced dining reservations. Make your reservation for between 7:30 to 8:00 p.m. The music is piped in so you can really enjoy the show while eating your dessert and sipping on a margarita! The restaurant offers classic Mexican specialties and all entrees are served with fresh homemade corn tortillas and rice. This is also one table service entitlement if you are on the Disney Dining Plan.
#3 Via Napoli
If you love classic wood fired style pizza ~ do not miss Via Napoli. Located in the back of the Italy Pavilion, you can build your own pizza with classic toppings. The restaurant also offers specialty signature pizzas that shouldn’t be missed, along with some really great pasta dishes and desserts. This is also one table service entitlement if you are on the Disney Dining Plan.
#4 Akershus
Serving Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner ~ all while seeing some of your favorite princesses. The breakfast is with a doubt the best character breakfast on property. It is a combination of family style and buffet. The Scandinavian menu offers something for everyone in the family for all three meals. During lunch and dinner the restaurant offers a great appetizer called “Taste of Norway” that everyone should try!
You can usually find Belle, Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Ariel and Mary Poppins here during your meal. A great character meal for only one table service entitlement on the Disney Dining plan.
#5 Le Cellier Steakhouse
This is definitely a SPLURGE meal on vacation. Reservations are often hard to come by but worth the extra cost if you are lucky enough to reserve a spot. The restaurant is set in a quaint wine cellar with a small number of tables which is one of the reasons the slots book up quickly. It is 2 table service entitlements on the Disney Dining Plan. Choices include Filet Mignon (like butter), mushroom risotto, cheddar beer cheese soup with pretzel bread sticks, and macaroni and cheese in a skillet. For dessert an over the top absolutely delicious chocolate moose.
