I was provided with a free stay from DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld for the purposes of this review as part of We Grow Retreat 2018 sponsored by Universal Orlando Resort and Mediavine. All opinions are my own.
DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld is an official hotel of SeaWorld and offers a relaxing oasis tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando while conveniently located in the heart of all that Orlando offers. Rates couldn’t be more reasonable starting at around $89 per night.
To say I was pleasantly surprised by the resort is an understatement. The resort takes up 28 acres and offers walkways through tropical landscapes. Two pools, a kid’s recreation center, beautiful lawns and fountains and fireplaces make the resort a hidden gem for travelers and families. There are several two story buildings and the tower high-rise building. The staff reserves the 2 story buildings for families with the high-rise being used mainly for business travelers.
Location
Whether you are visiting to hit the theme parks, on business or simply to relax, DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld puts you at the heart of where you need to be. Theme parks, shopping dining and more are at your fingertips. The resort is a stop for the International Drive trolley so just minutes away from hundreds of things to do and places to eat.
Rooms
Guestroom choices include a king or two queen beds and offer workspaces that overlook the courtyard or pool area. Tower rooms feature views of Orlando, SeaWorld and Aquatica.
The resort offers PURE Allergy Free Rooms that follow a seven-step process removing 99 percent of pollutants from the air with special air handling units and medical grade air purifiers.
The Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld also offers “family suites” that offer microwaves and refrigerators and are ideal for family travels.
Dining
The Sonoma Lobby Bar is the centerpiece of the Main Lobby. The bar offers premium wines and beers from around the world in a relaxing atmosphere. Open daily at 4 p.m., the Sonoma Lobby Bar also offers a tapas menu and small plates menu.
Laguna Grill serves a breakfast buffet daily, as well as serving an all-day menu with a wide variety of appetizers, salads, signature sandwiches, steak and seafood in a comfortable atmosphere. The restaurant offers a great kid’s menu too!
Chef Omar does a great job!
The Barefoot Bar at the Lagoon Pool offers drinks, frozen treats, snacks and light fare.
The Market serves Starbucks coffee beverages, pastries, sandwiches and refreshments including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to go. A large selection of grab and go items can also be found here.
The Pantry is an ideal spot to find snacks and beverages.
