Ohhhhh – Em – Geeee!! What a resort!
I could stay at DollyWoods DreamMore Resort & Spa and never leave to go visit the parks or the surrounding area. This resort offers everything a family needs and more.
The amenities the resort offers and the family atmosphere are undeniably the best I have experienced in a long time. The food in the restaurants is outstanding and the service at every corner and attention to detail is outstanding.
Heading out, I was most thrilled with the short drive from South Carolina. Six hours is nothing since I’m used to a 7.5 to 8 hour drive to Orlando. This is definitely where my family and I will be staying over and over again.
As a lifelong Dolly Parton fan, this trip was definitely something that has been on my travel bucket list for a long time. I definitely wasn’t disappointed.
As you enter the resort property, the first thing you see is a beautiful fountain that features Dolly’s words that are found all around the resort.
Dream More, Be More, Learn More, Care More.
Bell Services are the first employees you meet and they couldn’t be nicer and more helpful. Check in is seamless and carried out by a friendly, courteous and really pleasant group of people. Everything you need to know about your stay is explained.
There are subtle and not-so-subtle magical hints and touches of Dolly all throughout the resort that are simply and beautifully done- both inside and around the grounds. It’s worth staying here a week and searching for them all!
Rooms
Beautiful! Your room contains everything you need and more! The courtesy and service you receive is second to none!
The resort offers virtual concierge (via text message) that everyone should take advantage of. I had a question about the television in my room. I sent a text to the concierge service and within 4 minutes there was a knock at my door. 4 minutes! When I was checking out, I sent a text to have my luggage picked-up and my car brought from valet parking. Again – within minutes there was a knock on the door, my luggage was picked-up and when I arrived downstairs, my car was parked right up in front! The service at this resort can only be described as phenomenal!
Food
The resort offers great family-favorite food in the Song & Hearth Restaurant and the DM Pantry. There is also an area at the bar/lounge for dining.
The Song & Hearth serves breakfast from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and brunch on Sunday from 7:30 a.m. to noon. The breakfast items are plentiful and include pancakes, waffles, biscuits with gravy, omelettes, pastries, hot/cold cereals and more.
Dinner is served 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and there is so many southern-comfort foods available its difficult to choose!
Food allergies can be accommodated as long as you let your server know. There is a gluten free station with dedicated toaster available too! This area is totally away from other foods so safety from cross-contamination is almost guaranteed. As the mother of an allergy sufferer (allergic to gluten) I was super happy to see this!
The DM Pantry offers Starbucks coffee, a range of great sandwiches, salads, snacks pastries and DollyWood’s famous Cinnamon Bread! Pizza made to order and ice cream for dessert – make for a great light dinner or a perfect late night snack.
Relaxing at the Resort
The resort offers two pool options as well as a splash pad area for the little ones. You can definitely spend a full day at the pool. Pool side dining is available. The Swimming Hole Outdoor Pool & Outdoor Hot Tub (open 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.) and the Garden House Indoor Pool (open 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.) are both perfect spots to relax and refresh.
The Spa at the resort offers a full line of pampering services. Closed on Sunday and Monday, open the other days from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the spa is a little oasis for visitors. Massages, facials, manicures, pedicures, a full line of spa products and more are all offered.
In the evening the kids (and you) can make S’mores behind the pool. If the weather is bad – the S’mores come inside to the lobby and get made microwave style!
Each morning Camp DM offers pre-packaged craft kits in the lobby that range in price from $10 to $25. The kit includes everything you need to keep the kids entertained around the pool, in one of the great seating areas around the lobby level or even up in your room.
There are plenty of on-site spots for the little ones to have fun.

My Thoughts
The resort has a total of 299 rooms so does not seem at all like you are in a crowded resort (especially compared to the size of some of the Walt Disney World Resorts – Beach Club for instance has just under 600 rooms, while Art of Animation has 1984 rooms!).
The price point for DreamMore – a 5-star deluxe resort – changes with the seasons, but no matter when you visit, it’s worth every penny.
This resort is beautiful! Guests are treated as if they are the only important person there. The rooms are beautifully equipped, the common areas and grounds are impeccable. DollyWoods DreamMore Resort & Spa has become my family’s new – must go to vacation spot!
