Aloha, when Disney makes up their mind to renovate, the main mouse Mickey isn’t fooling around, except with Minnie of course. Some changes I personally noticed on my recent trip to my family’s favorite resort were;
Pineapple Lanai at the Polynesian Village Resort
Sorry my Dole Whip lovin’ peeps, you’ll be served your favorite Polynesian treat from now on. It’s no longer stashed in Captain Cook’s as a self-serve kiosk; they are now sold at a new location named Pineapple Lanai. It’s conveniently located outside the Grand Ceremonial House. They offer~ Dole Whip Soft-serve, Dole Whip Swirls, and Pineapple Floats, each with their own boring plastic cup or for the full Polynesian experience in a Tiki souvenir bowl/sipper at additional cost. Looks like a great place to chill (get it, chill, lol) and people watch, which is my favorite thing to do.
I really didn’t notice much of a difference; it looked refreshed like Snow White after her long rest. I did however notice the absence of the Dole Whip self-serve kiosk, but that’s all folks.
In honor of my family’s sadness ~The Nanea Volcano Pool and the Polynesian backyard is totally under construction or as I like to call it constructeering. I know ultimately these changes are for the betterment of our beloved Polynesian Village Resort. As I shed a tear or two or THREE~here they are;
The last picture is my favorite elixir on Disney property~ the ever magical “Pina Co-Lava!” It helps make the changes to my family’s favorite resort easier or at least in my mind. A great potion for what ails you, try it. Mahalo!
