After enjoying a leisurely breakfast at Cabanas, we visited the Oceaneers Club, where there was an open house (so we could attend with Andrew) and Peter Pan (just starting a flight to Neverland.) As long as we can stay with him in the club, Andrew is happy.
The next day found us on the Fantasy’s maiden voyage to Falmouth, Jamaica. Given it was her first time visiting this port, we figured the ship would be empty…and we were right!
After a pixie-dusted flight (and storing the special badge given to those who traveled with Peter) we finished our 2nd (and started our 3rd) case with the Midship Detective Agency. Andrew, who loves playing Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom, fell in love with this great interactive game (an awesome way to see the ship.) So much so, that we spent several hours in the morning and evening doing nothing but delivering FE gifts and solving cases!
Around noon, I enjoyed a really fantastic lunch with fellow fans of AllEars.net while my son got to experience the Mickey slide with little-to-no wait! After, there was more detective work and a really special meet and greet with Captain America, before returning to our room to strike our colors for Pirate Night.
We all enjoyed Mickey’s Pirates In the Caribbean show, where we got to learn how to be a pirate (“Aye, Aye Captain!”) and help Mickey win our ship back from Captain Hook (I won’t spoil the ending for you.)
Dinner was fun and casual, with our team posing for a special picture with Andrew’s standard issue plate of bacon.
Then, while the others crashed, I got to watch the show and fireworks featuring Captain Jack Sparrow. I can’t help but think ours was an imposter. He looked the part, but had an American accent and really wasn’t convincing, savvy?
As the show ended, and the dance party began, like an old tired pirate, I took my “booty” back to bed. Tomorrow is a full day at sea, with potentially rough seas..I will sleep well tonight!
