Last month during Disney Social Media Moms Celebration in Orlando I had the pleasure of listening to a presentation by Kristin Burr, Producer of “Christopher Robin.” She also shared with us several minutes of the film. What a delight! Childhood memories came rushing through my brain. The small snippet of film brought laughter and a few tears to everyone in the room. The movie is full of joy and lots of emotion.
The first teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action Christopher Robin has arrived, reintroducing two of the most beloved characters in children’s literature: a boy and his bear. The boy is all grown up (played by Ewan McGregor) and is struggling through the hardships of adulthood. It’s been a very long time since he’s seen his old friend Winnie the Pooh and the rest of the gang.
In the heartwarming live action adventure, the young boy who embarked on countless adventures in the Hundred Acre Wood with his band of spirited and lovable stuffed animals, has grown up and lost his way. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin remember the loving and playful boy who is still inside. The film picks up when Christoper Robin has returned from World War II. He lives with his wife and daughter and works at a luggage company. His job has left him little time for happiness or adventure which prompts the appearance of his childhood friend.
This first trailer only shows the reunion between Pooh and Christopher Robin, but the film will also see the return of all the old Hundred Acre Wood pals ~ Tigger (voiced by Chris O’Dowd), Eeyore (Brad Garrett), Owl (Toby Jones), Piglet (Nick Mohammed), Rabbit (Peter Capaldi), and Kanga (Sophie Okonedo).
CHRISTOPHER ROBIN and the gang will arrive in theaters everywhere on August 3, 2018!
