Characters Corner Vacation Home is the answer to large group (or even just your family) travels. Sometimes hotels just won’t work. Having space for a large group can get expensive when you think about needing 2, 3 or 4 rooms to accommodate everyone, especially at Walt Disney World.

Characters Corner Vacation Home is located in the elegant gated community known as Formosa Gardens Estates, and is only two and 1/2 miles from the main entrance to all of the Disney Parks! Literally right around the corner! The owners of this home have gone above and beyond in making it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The home is constantly updated so that everything is up-to-date all the time! I have stayed here several times over a three year period and I am always amazed at the cleanliness and upkeep. Cleanliness and upkeep is always the FIRST priority of the owner. The owners have employed a local property that lives right in the community and is always available in the event you need any type of assistance or have any issues during your stay. When you rent the home, you deal directly with the owner, no middle man, no rental company. You deal with the owner who cares about your vacation almost as much as you do!

The home can sleep 12 to 14 easily 16! What a great place to have a family reunion or group trip ~ all within a short drive to all the Orlando attractions! Disney Parks only 2.5 miles away! Universal Orlando and SeaWorld only a 15-20 minute drive. There is a super-Target and a Publix for groceries, both within 2 miles, along with lots of souvenir shopping and restaurants too! Amazing Outlet Centers close by, shopping, golfing & dinner shows!

The home offers a huge in-ground pool for you and your family to enjoy, surrounded by a hot tub/spa and a Mickey Mouse kiddie pool. The Mickey Mouse pool is 18 inches deep in the center and six inches deep in Mickey’s ears. The pool’s deck/lounging area is extra large in order to accommodate a large group of people comfortably. There is also a comfortable outdoor dining area. 

The home is 3,100 square foot (with additional square footage of a game room), has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. Three of the bedrooms are considered master suites which makes this home an ideal location for several families sharing the cost. Two of the three have king beds and the third a queen bed ~ all with their own bathrooms. One of the three, located on the second floor also offers a sleeper sofa in the same room. There are also 2 bedrooms that contain 2 twin beds each. Finally, there is an additional bedroom that can be accessed through the main master bedroom  or the main living room ~ with a full sized Princess Carriage bed. 

All of the furnishings are top of the line designer, name brand furnishings from companies such as Broyhill, Lexington, Hooker, and of course, the Disney Store! All bedrooms offer a TV/DVD combination. The main floor family room (which includes a leather sectional sleeper queen sofa ) includes a home theater surround sound system and an assortment of family-oriented DVDs. 

The gourmet kitchen, with island and attached eat-in kitchen table area offers all of the comforts of home including dishes, pots and pans. There is also a separate formal dining room area and formal living room. Additionally, the entire home is equipped with WI-FI wireless internet access. The game room features air hockey, a pool table and foosball table, as well as toys for the kids. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer, a high chair and a couple of strollers, too! All linens and towels are provided, as well as hair dryers in all the bathrooms.

The home is wheelchair accessible, non-smoking and does not allow pets (you may speak to and make special arrangements with the owner regarding service animals, if needed). Anyone who has ever stayed at the home has given it high accolades and five stars!

Many of the area vacation homes boast about how near they are to Disney property and how easy it is to get from the house to the parks, but Characters Corner is truly just minutes away. I made a video on my last stay, admittedly a bit boring, but it shows how easy and quick it is to get from the house to Disney property. The video was taken at 8:30 a.m. on a Monday morning (rush hour). I did not edit out red lights so removing time for red lights the trip is only 8 to 9 minutes in rush hour traffic. Less at earlier or later times.
