There’s is no doubt about it- Casey’s Corner is a very conveniently located quick service spot in the Magic Kingdom located right on a corner of Main Street USA. There’s also no doubt about it – Casey’s Corner has some of the best tasting hot dogs topped with some of the best extras! However, as much as I love the location and love the hot dogs – it is almost always one of the most crowded locations to try to get a quick meal. I have very often walked in (or tried to walk in) and walked right back out again. After all, it’s a hot dog joint – admittedly a very good hot dog joint – but I’m not always willing to wait in line for quite a long time to get a hot dog. However, if you are lucky enough to find Casey’s Corner not very crowded and are lucky enough to snag one of their outdoor tables, you are in an absolute perfect parade watching spot! Indoor seating is minimal so if you are looking for an air conditioned spot to eat chances of finding a seat inside are slim. There are only four or five tables inside, each seating only 4 people and two sets of bleachers that face a small movie screen that seat about 20 to 25 people.
Casey’s Corner opens at 11 a.m. and serves several gourmet hot dogs – all very large and overflowing with toppings; a plain hot dog, corn dog nuggets and nachos. They are all served with french fries or apple slices. The gourmet hot dogs are foot long and often difficult to eat because of the mounds of topping so be prepared to be messy! My suggestion is to share if you order any of the gourmet dogs. A great option if you are on a tight budget.
Prices are reasonable – a gourmet dog with fries costs about $9 and can easily be shared by two people. The Disney Dining Plan -a quick service credit – can be used as well.
If you are in the market for a quick lunch and can either find Casey’s Corner uncrowded or are willing to wait for your hot dog – it’s definitely worth a try, if only for the location!
