BooFest! at Barefoot Landing – Get Those Costumes Ready!

Sharing is caring!

Boo to you – and you – and you! BooFest is coming to Barefoot Landing! Here’s your chance to show off your best Halloween attire – how adorable your little one looks or your best dressed pet.

Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach, the area’s only waterway shopping, dining and entertainment destination, is planning two family-friendly events for the upcoming Halloween holiday. Barefoot Landing just loves to entertain visitors with special events.

BooFest! will take place on Saturday, October 26, from noon to 4 p.m., in Dockside Village, and Trick Or Treat will be property-wide at participating merchants on Thursday, October 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

BooFest! includes children and pet costume contests, stilt walking balloon artists, character appearances, and discounted rides packages at Barefoot Amusements. WPDE’s chief meteorologist Ed Piotrowski will be the guest emcee.

Registration for the contests takes place between 11 a.m. and noon and there is no fee to participate.

In addition to the pet contest, there will be three children’s contests, broken down into the following age groups: 3 and under, 4 to 7, and 8 to 12. Prizes will be awarded in all categories. Judging is based on creativity and enthusiasm.

A free showing of the Halloween favorite Hocus Pocus will take place on the Crooked Hammock Brewery Stage later that evening starting at 7 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs along with the whole family to enjoy the movie.

On Thursday, October 31, participating merchants throughout Barefoot Landing will be ready to greet costumed children and provide treats as they host Trick Or Treat from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
