Black Panther is an upcoming superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero Black Panther. It is a sequel to Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, and will also be the eighteenth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel’s Black Panther follows an African king named T’Challa with superhuman strength and intellect, who presides over the fictional nation of Wakanda. This trailer gives us the first look at such big stars as Lupita Nyong’o (Nakia) and Michael B. Jordan, as well as, of course, Chadwick Boseman, who plays the Black Panther. It also shows us a sprawling Wakanada — and the political turmoils inside of the region. Boseman, who debuted the character in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, plays T’Challa, the king of a fictional, technologically-advanced African nation, who must take over the throne after his father’s murder. When an old adversary (Michael B. Jordan‘s Killmonger) reappears, T’Challa is forced to rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther in order to protect his kingdom and the fate of mankind.

“You are a good man with a good heart, and it’s hard for a good man to be a king,” warns a voice over. The trailer is fast-paced but does give us a really good look at things.
Early on in Civil War, we saw the complex relationship between T’Challa and his father King T’Chaka. We also saw references to their country’s vast stores of vibranium, including Black Panther’s suit, which is made entirely out of the rare metal, and the film’s end credits hinted heavily at what would come for the hero.
There has been speculation as to how many other Marvel heros would be appearing in Black Panther, and thanks to a recent tweet from Chadwick Boseman, we now know of at least two. He showed three chairs on set that read: “Natasha Romanoff,” “T’Challa,” and “Steve Rogers,” indicating that we will be seeing seeing Black Widow and Captain America.
The overall reaction to this first trailer of Black Panther has been really positive. I have read many great trailer reviews about the design and the cast. It seems to me the full film will be worth the wait!
