For a quick service meal I like the ABC Commissary. I think this restaurant is over looked by many. Also, it receives many bad reviews by guests. In my opinion it is really good for a quick service meal! You are likely to get a seat here since there are so many tables and booths to sit at. I love the very cold air-conditioning in the summer. If the lines are a little long they go very quickly unlike some other quick service restaurants at Disney. It is also a great place to take a coffee and desert break in the afternoon if you are tired.
It is located past the Great Movie Ride®, across from the south end of The American Idol® Experience. It has an Art Deco ABC show theme with warm wood interior and silver metallic trim. There are many posters on the walls of ABC shows and stars – both present and past. I am a big fan of many ABC shows. There are also televisions with ABC ads playing on them but it is not too loud.
The menu consists of seafood, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, and salads. I love the Asian salad. It is an excellent salad. It is made to order so it is always fresh. They also have a nice “Power Pack”. It has yogurt, apple slices, carrots, goldfish crackers and an apple cinnamon granola bar in it. You also get a choice of a small bottled water or milk. There is not a toppings bar here but, the portions are a nice size and the prices are very reasonable. They also accept the Disney Dinning Plan.
When you leave and turn right you are very close to a Disney Vacation Club kiosk in case you are interested in booking a tour. I would love to see the new Villas at The Grand Floridian Resort. Across from the Kiosk is the 50’s car in front of 50’s Prime Time Cafe.
In conclusion, if you are in the area of ABC Commissary and are hot and hungry just try it out. Try the Asian salad and I think you will like it!
