4 Reasons to Visit That New Brewery

Life is short. There are no two ways about it. How many times have you thought to yourself that you don’t take enough time out to do some fun and interesting things? Now you are being told that there are actually reasons to visit that new brewery you’ve just learned about in your city!

Believe it or not, whether you enjoy a cold glass on a warm summer day or would just like to visit the brewery to see how beer is made, there is much you can learn while having a really good time tasting the various brews.

Here are four reasons you should check it out and some of them you might never have guessed on your own!

1. Beer Is Healthy

Okay, now that’s going a little too far, isn’t it? Well, not really!

Actually, beer is brewed from just four very basic ingredients which would include water (of course!), hops, barley and yes, you’ve got it yeast. However, they don’t use just any kind of yeast to brew beer, but rather a specific kind called brewer’s yeast which provides nutrients such as protein, fiber, thiamine (Vitamin B-1), riboflavin (Vitamin B-20), Vitamin B-6, Vitamin B-12, Vitamin B-3, potassium, calcium and iron.

As a leading national resource for healthy supplements, VitaMonk says that drinking beer in moderation can actually be good for you.

How odd is it when a health supplement supplier actually encourages drinking a draft? That gives you pause for thought now, doesn’t it?

2. Good Old Fashioned Beer Tasting Tour

It’s actually quite entertaining as well as educational to tour a brewery. For those who don’t enjoy beer, there’s a first for everything!

Some breweries offer guided tours that teach you about the brewing process and at each ‘station’ along the tour you are often given an opportunity to taste what is being brewed there. Sometimes these ‘tastes’ come after the tour once you’ve learned about how beer is brewed and stored for bottling.

3. That Craft Brewery Is More Important Than You Think

Unless you are a health nut, you probably didn’t know just how healthy brewer’s yeast is or that it’s been taken as a dietary supplement for generations. However, aside from the healthy reasons to visit a brewery, let’s look at how those small craft breweries are contributing to the economy!

Did you know that most Americans live within just 10 miles of a local brewery? There are more than 3,000 craft breweries around the nation contributing over 360,000 jobs and about $34 billion to the U.S. economy.

4. Something Fun to Do with a Group

If you are looking for a fun activity with a group, you might want to consider visiting a brewery near you. Perhaps you are in charge of staff activities at your place of employment and are always on the look-out for interesting things to do with your team. That would be something unusual and totally unexpected, and if you are seeking to open people up to sharing in the group when you get into later sessions that day, a glass or two of beer wouldn’t hurt.

The bottom line is that while no one is encouraging you to drink beer every day, it is interesting to note that supplements with brewer’s yeast could help in boosting immunity, improving levels of energy and even provide stronger pathways for those neurons in the brain that are so important for thought processes.

One too many beers might not bode well for the rational mind, but a capsule or two a day of brewer’s yeast may be just what the doctor (and maybe even your boss!) ordered. That’s surely food for thought.
