Here’s an update on yesterday’s post regarding customizing MagicBands! The picture above shows some of what you will be able to do when customizing these “for purchase” bands. As reported yesterday, there will also be lots of other designs available:
The Disney Parks Blog today posted the information they removed yesterday, and it seems that the location will be open as of today. The custom MagicBand will cost $21.95 and $29.95 if personalized.
There are approximately 40 graphics to apply to your custom MagicBand. There will be a few MagicBand graphics that will only be found in this location that salute classic Magic Kingdom Park attractions and icons. Guests will be able to purchase these at the existing D-Tech On Demand system located in the Tomorrowland Power & Light Co. This is located in the gift shop which sits at the exit of Space Mountain in the Magic Kingdom, where the arcade used to be. This area is open now and also allows guests to design custom phone cases. Guests will be able to choose from eight different colors (including purple) and can then can add graphics, text, characters and more personalization options. The customizable MagicBands will initially only be available here, but I’m sure the system will expand soon. Once you design and print your band, you will be able to input the band ID into your My Disney Experience app to start using the band immediately. You will also be able to design a band for a family member or friend and use the “link it later” option to activate the band at a later time.
