Slated to open in early 2014, the Universal’s Cabana Bay Beach Resort will be considered a moderate/value resort. Themed after the 1950’s and 60’s, you will be taken back to the iconic beach resorts of the era. There will be a relaxing lazy river, a bowling alley and a spot to grab a burger and shake.
The resort will include 900 standards rooms that will be approx. 300 sq. ft., will accommodate four people and have a mini-refrigerator and a coffee maker (approx. 50% of these standard rooms will be connecting rooms). There will be an additional 900 family suites that will be approx. 430 sq., ft., will accommodate six people and will have a small kitchenette that includes a mini-refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
Guests will be able to dine at a 600 seat foot court that will feature several different food stations: burgers and shakes, pizza and pasta, sandwiches, and a bakery. There will also be a coffee shop, bars in the lobby and at the pools offering forzen drinks. The bowling alley will also offer snacks. Pizza delivery will be available to your room.
The highlight of the resort will be two spectacular pools; one with a sand beach, dive tower waterslide, and the other with a sand beach leading to a lazy river.
As with all other on-site resorts, guests will be entitled to exclusive theme park benefits including early park admission (with a valid theme park ticket). Prices for this moderate/value resort will start at $119 per night, far less expensive then the existing three deluxe resorts now on Universal property.
