MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR GAYLE TURNER
Gayle is a lifelong educator by day and avid blogger by night and one of the founding members of the Disney Gals, one of the most popular Disney blogs around! Proud mommy to 5, Grammy to 4 she is blessed to share her life with an amazing man who encourages her to chase her dreams, no matter how bumpy the road or where they may lead. When not in the classroom, she can be found following her son as he dances his way through life, or working with young performers in free nationally recognized after school children’s theater program that she founded 13 years ago. She believes that life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but learning to dance in the rain. On any given day you will find Gayle skipping her way through life with a giggle and a smile knowing that today is meant to be lived and enjoyed. Believe in the possibilities….live your dreams!
MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR KATY MELCHER
If you are a grown adult and have shed real tears while eating in the majestic Cinderella’s castle or strolling down Maine Street USA, then we have a lot in common! My journey toward becoming a Disneyphile all began back in 1978 when my parents brought my siblings and me to the Polynesian Resort to escape the Chicago snow. And that was just the first of countless trips to Disney World and voyages on Disney Cruise Line. Now my life revolves around my husband, two kids, job as a high school English teacher and my love of all things Disney. In my house we are either on a Disney vacation, planning our next trip or helping friends plan their Disney trips. Being chosen as the Family of the Day last September and helping Mickey “open” the Magic Kingdom was the culmination of years of dreams and wishes for my family. The best thing is that no matter how many times we experience the magic of Disney, it is still there the next time we return!!!
MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR SHERRY BOSWELL
Hi, y’all, I’m Sherry Boswell from South Carolina. I wear two sets of Mouse Ear Hats: as a part-time lawyer and full-time mom to two active kiddos! I have been a Disney FAN-atic since my 8 year old eyes first caught a glimpse of Cinderella Castle and my first meet-up with the Big Cheese onboard the Empress Lilly. Fast forward 30 something years, I have amazing memories ranging from a child, teen, college student, newlywed, expectant mom, mother, girls’ weekend and couples-only traveler. In fact, some of my fondest and most pixie-dusted experiences are EXACTLY what the Adult Side of Disney is all about: for instance, the Keys to the Kingdom tour and our anniversary upgrade to the Grand Villa at Bay Lake Tower! (Shhh-don’t tell the kids!)
Whether it is sailing the Caribbean blue seas aboard the Disney Dream or running as Belle in the runDisney Princess Half Marathon, I have embraced Ellie’s mantra that “adventure is out there!” My Disney bucket list includes Disneyland Paris (ooh la la), a Coast-to-Coast runDisney medal, and a sneak peek (or dare I say, a stay) in the Cinderella Castle Suite.
You can also find me at my blog, www.sherryboswell.com, on Facebook at Music 2 My Ears, or on Twitter: @SherryBoswell.
MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR MARGE GERWELS
Hi I’m Marge and I have been a Disney fan since I was 9 years old. That was the year I first visited Walt Disney World. Since then, I have been more times than I can count and have fallen in love with both Disneyland and California Adventure as well. I have been married for 16years and we have 5 (yes, 5) incredible kids ranging in age from 2 to 13. I’m an RN, although my nursing career is on “pause” until the kids are older. I’m a freelance photographer and an avid reader.
My Disney experiences encompass many life stages: as a kid, teen, yound adult, married, pregnant (all three trimesters), and with kids. I have had the privelge to enjoy Disney vacations with my own children as infants, toddlers, kids, and now with a teenager (yikes!). We are DVC members and Annual Passholders. The best thing about Disney vacations is that no matter how many times you go, no two trips are EVER alike. Since becoming a runner 5 years ago, I have become a runDisney fanatic and have recruited my once sedentary family to participate in runDisney events with me. RunDisney had become a big part of our family and most of our trip are planned around runDisney events. It is my goal to run all of Disney’s races–and I am close!
It was my love for Disney and my desire to help people get the most out of their Disney vacations that led me to blogging and sharing my experiences through various social media venues. I love sharing my adventures to help others plan their very own magical vacations!
MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR SHANNON DILL
Hi, I’m Shannon. I am wife, mother, lover of God and just about everything Disney – but especially the Disney Parks and runDisney. Fortunately, my family not only tolerates my Disney-love, they whole heartedly support it. Walt Disney World is my “home” destination, but I also love Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure and just to shake it up I have been to Hong Kong Disneyland and plan to make it to the Tokyo Disney Resort and Disneyland Paris. I like to pinch pennies on some aspects of our trips so that we can be extravagant on others. I’ve stayed on property and off and know the benefits of both. I was a part of the Disney InsidEARS program before it went into the ether and perhaps like you, I’ve applied to be on the Disney Mom’s Panel a time or two. I enjoy helping family and friends plan their magical adventures to the Disney Parks and if you need convincing that you can take a “child-free” trip, just let me know. You can find me tweeting about Disney, running, and staying semi-sane at @PurveyorofPD and on Facebook at Purveyor of Pixie Dust. You can also visit my blog, Purveyor of Pixie Dust.
MEET GUEST CONTRIBUTOR COREY APPLEGATE
My name is Corey Applegate and I am a former Marine turned Army wife and stay at home mom. I have been going to Walt Disney World since the opening of Epcot, and have gone on more trips than I can count. Now, I spend my trips sharing the magic of my childhood with my husband and daughter as we explore new experiences every time we go.
I am so thrilled to be here and part of this wonderful group. I am a Mom of two and a Grandmother of three! Having been a restaurant Manager and Owner for thirty-five years, I am now retired and happy to be a stay at home Mom.

At present she enjoys her work as a Video Post Coordinator for a number of online universities.
