On my recent walk through Downtown Disney®, I spotted a little shop that I had heard about but never visited. Fun Finds is located in the Disney Marketplace area, close to Goofy’s Candy Co. It’s a great little store that offers lots of bargains on Disney merchandise. Items can be found for less than $10 and they even have a wall of discontinued park merchandise that is really, really cheap (5 for $20)! This is a great shop to visit if you are looking to save money on gifts and souvenirs.
I think the best bargain I found is the grab bag. I had heard about these grab bags from others and thought I would take a chance to see what I was lucky enough to get in my bag and also to determine if it is worth the cost for a family trying to get a few extra gifts. The grab bag costs $11.99 plus tax for a total of $12.77. I spent a few minutes feeling several bags to see if I could get a hint at what may be inside, and finally settled on one to purchase.
Once I left the store, I went outside to open my bag and see if what was inside was worth the $12.77 I had paid. I was pleasantly surprised to find the cost of my items far exceeded the price I had paid.
Inside I found a Star Wars® figure (Stitch as Yoda) marked $9.99; three different key chains – two of which were marked $8.95 each and one marked $6.95; and a small die cast car that had no price on it but I am assuming would cost at least $5. So my total package value was somewhere around $40.00.
Overall, I was pleased with my grab bag. I packed up my key chains and Star Wars® figure to save for future gift giving and found, found a family with a little boy to share the die cast car with and left very pleased. The grab bag at Fun Finds is a great way to get a few souvenir items at a reasonable cost – give it a try and see what “fun finds” you get in your bag!
